It’s hard to imagine any beach in Rhode Island being secluded anymore. But there is one beach that requires a ride on a boat and a trip down a dusty road just to reach it. Because it takes a little more effort to get to Mansion Beach, you’ll find that it remains a little less crowded than the norm and a perfect place to spend a summer day.
A trip to Block Island belongs on everyone’s bucket list. It’s just 13 miles off the coast of mainland Rhode Island but can seem like a world away. Reachable only by ferry or private boat, this beautiful island is worthy of a visit.
