The festival will run when the sunflowers are expected to be in full bloom with hours from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. each day.

Spend a few hours or the day picking sunflowers ($1 per stem) and strolling through the fields, snapping photos.

Other festival activities include children’s crafts and games as well as live entertainment. Emma Bennett, Uke 66, and The Detour Dance Band are among the scheduled performers.

Pack a picnic, too, and find a quiet, shaded area for a delightful lunch or dinner. Golden Grove Farms will also have goodies, including ice cream and soft drinks, for purchase.

Adults pay $5 per person for admission to the Sunflower Festival. However, kids under 16 years old are free.
