Calling all wizards! Celebrate the magical world of Hogwarts – and Harry Potter – this summer during an evening of family-friendly fun. The one-night event, open to all ages, features plenty of activities, a costume contest, and delicious goodies (for an additional fee). Dress up in your favorite costume - there will be a costume contest - for the festival that will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Then, when you arrive, visit the Department of Mysteries, where you’ll discover your Patronus.

And, answer that age old question, “Can owls really deliver your mail?” Meet some of the animals that will be on hand, including an owl and maybe even a skunk.

The family-friendly event welcomes both members and non-members of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Members pay $13.50 (as do children between the ages of three and 18).

Or, if you’re not a member, pay $15 in advance or $20 at the door. All children two and younger get in free.

During the evening, enjoy snacks and drinks from the cash-only bar. (Food and drinks are separate from the admission fee.)
