Long Beach is a top destination for Washingtonians for many reasons. Not only is it our longest and largest stretch of sandy shore, but the charming beach town is delightful in any season. But many people are attracted to Long Beach for another reason: You can drive on it.

While Long Beach is not actually the longest beach in the entire world, it IS the world’s longest beach on a peninsula.

A four wheel drive vehicle is certainly the preferred method of transportation here, but it’s not required.

Long Beach makes an absolutely beautiful vacation destination in any season.
