Google/Wiederkehr Wine Cellars, Inc. The Wiederkehr family emigrated from Switzerland to Altus in 1880. The winemakers began by using native grapes, berries, and persimmons before the higher quality wine grapes were ready for production. The Wiederkehr’s winery was only the eighth winery to be bonded in the U.S. but quickly became an iconic Arkansas gem.
The old world feel of the Wiederkehr Village is wholeheartedly felt in the underground wine cellar.
