Like many Kansans, you probably don’t have a giant garden at home to tend and enjoy. During the warmer months, we have to travel elsewhere to get our flower fix. Now that it’s spring (or as spring as Kansas gets) we’re ready to explore gardens full of flowers and bubbling waterfalls, and this botanical garden is the perfect place to do just that.
Welcome to one of the most beautiful parks in Kansas, the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Garden.

It’s open year round, but by far the best part of each year is spring, when all of the bright beautiful colors are in bloom and butterflies are starting to appear.

If you look closely, you may find more than flowers and statues here to look at. These little fairy houses aren’t for touching, but it’s a great way for kids and adults alike to pretend what a tiny creature might build its home out of in the gardens here.
