Minnesota summers can be challenging, to say the least. The hot temperatures paired with high humidity create a sticky feeling that is hard to escape without air conditioning. But there is another option: head to the pool!

Just about every town and city has one nearby – if not within its borders – making this the perfect choice for those who either don’t like swimming in lakes or simply don’t live near one. One of our favorite Minnesota swimming pools happens to be in the city of Crystal. This fun-filled pool is exactly what you need to cool down this summer. Take a look:

The Crystal pool - also known as Crystal Cove Aquatic Center - is a popular spot for cooling down during the heat of the summer. Address: 4848 Douglas Drive North, Crystal, MN 55429.

The pool is popular for good reason! For one thing, it is much larger than your average in-ground pool. It can accommodate plenty of people, so you can rest assured that even on the hottest days, Crystal Cove is not too busy.

Other features make this an ideal Twin Cities swimming pool. A zero-depth entry section makes it easy to use for people of all abilities. Simply walk straight into the cooling water without having to climb or jump.

The pool is also full of activities. The water walk invites swimmers to balance as they cross the pool with the help of a net.

A fun splash zone is great for those who want to get wet down without going too deep.

There’s even a waterslide! Adults and children alike will enjoy the breeze as they fly down the slide and land in cooling water!

When it’s time to dry off, there are plenty of tables with umbrellas and beach chairs for sunbathing.
