Summertime in Minnesota brings many things. Fresh air, sunshine, and endless days at the lake or pool. It also brings beautiful color from all the flowers that grow in every region of the state. From the wildflowers that spread freely across fields and roadsides to farm-raised blooms that are sold in stores and markets, the Land of 10,000 Lakes is rife with beauty when summer flowers bud.
Sunflowers, a favorite of many, are among the best flowers to see in late July and August in Minnesota, when their bright petals finally show themselves. At one farm near the Twin Cities, a wonderful sunflower festival is the perfect opportunity to see sunflowers. Take a trip to the Sunflower Festival at Waldoch Farm, and your summer will be complete.
