Minnesota may not be known for mountains, but that doesn’t mean it’s completely flat. In fact, the Land of 10,000 Lakes has a few scenic overlooks that will bring you up close to some of the state’s most stunning natural wonders. One little-known scenic overlook is at a state park in west-central Minnesota. Climb up Mount Tom at Sibley State Park for an incredible, 360-view above the trees. Take a look:

There is much to see and do at this lesser-known spot. Lake Andrew provides fishing, while Henschien and Swan Lakes offer opportunities for canoeing.

Sibley State Park is also home to Mount Tom. This tall hill is one of the highest points in the area.

A 3.3-mile trail, the Mount Tom Trail, will take you to the top. When you reach the top, you’ll have climbed 200 feet in elevation.

On top of the hill, an observation tower awaits to take you even higher.

The tower is an easy climb for most. You’ll need to walk up a few flights of stairs to get to the top.
