However, one of the most anticipated parts of the festival is the hot air balloon glow, and for good reason! The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic was first held in 1991. Over the years, it’s become a beloved community event that hundreds upon hundreds of families attend.

This year, the festival will take place August 28 through September 1. As with previous years, the festival will feature a “CapEd Kids Days” which allows children to enjoy complimentary tethered rides, a “Media Day”, and a “VIP Launch Day”.

However, the Night Glow is by far one of the most well-attended events and it will also be making a return this year. Taking place on the Friday evening of the festival, the Night Glow is definitely a highlight of this beloved festival.

Pack your lawn chairs, blankets, and gather your loved ones for an unforgettable night at Ann Morrison Park. This nighttime event is completely free and is scheduled to run from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. weather permitting.

During the Night Glow, you’ll watch as the dozens of hot air balloons perform an epic nighttime glow show. The night sky will light up with the glowing outlines of the massive hot air balloons. It’s simply a breathtaking sight.
