Hiding out near the quiet eastern Idaho town of Lava Hot Springs, Smith’s Trout Haven is definitely true to it’s name. This quiet family friendly campground is just the place for a relaxing weekend getaway, and you’ll want to check it out.

Located just one mile outside of the Lava Hot Springs downtown area, the campground is just far enough away to make you feel like you’ve escaped into pure natural bliss. The campground is surrounding by rolling hills and breathtaking countryside.

Most importantly, the fishing is plentiful. The campground contains two trout ponds where you can fish to your heart’s content. Consider dinner taken care of!

The campground is so incredibly tranquil that you may not be able to pull yourself away, but the local attractions are also worth checking out. Plan a visit to Lava Hot Springs to soak in the world-famous pools, do some shopping, or just get a feel for the small-town atmosphere.
