For a short day trip, you could always head over to Fontainebleau State Park, located just across the Causeway. Then, there’s always Grand Isle State Park, if you’re looking for some world-class fishing and outdoor opportunity. This particular campground is about two and a half hour drive from the city, making it the perfect destination for a quick weekend getaway, and the sandy beach makes it all worth it.
