Alaska’s railroad history is something pretty spectacular! The railroad winds its way all around this large, beautiful state. Too frequently retired railroad cars can gather dust, instead of being turned into something useful. But this incredible diner took these old Alaska Railroad Cars and fashioned them into the best train car restaurant in Seward!

This train car restaurant has been in existence since 2006.

The menu is varied, and the portions are huge! But the prices are affordable.

This awesome restaurant is open year round! Winter definitely tends to be less busy then summer. Summer can be filled with tourists coming off the cruise ships, so be prepared for a longer wait- although it’s worth it!
