The USS Cobia, a WWII submarine, is one of the museum’s most popular exhibits. Touring the sub is a crowd favorite, but it’s not the only way to explore the historic craft.

On select weekends throughout the year, the museum hosts its Submarine Overnight Program. Just as the name implies, the program allows visitors to book an overnight stay on the sub.

During the overnight visit, guests will be treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the USS Cobia.

There are lots of opportunities for hands-on fun, too. Overnight visitors will get to explore the boat, sound the diving bell, learn about life on the sub, and, of course, sleep on the WWII-era vessel.

Signage and plaques depicting the history of the USS Cobia ensures time spent on the sub is as educational as it is fun.

When booking your stay, there are two options. The Overnight Program is designed for large groups, such as scout groups and church groups. The Family Overnight (FON) is geared toward smaller groups and individuals.

An overnight stay is $44 per person for both kids and adults. Keep in mind, participants must be at least 6 years old.
