There’s no doubt that Arkansas has plenty of unique hotels and charming B&Bs but that’s certainly not the end of your lodging options. From castles to Harry Potter cottages, there’s no reason to stay in a boring chain motel during any Arkansas getaway. One more fascinating place to add to the itinerary is this WWII submarine. Filled with history and a truly unique overnight experience, the USS Razorback is a must-visit.
The Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum is well worth a day trip. Though after this article you’ll definitely want to stay longer!

The museum features two main attractions - the tugboat Hoga and the submarine USS Razorback. This is the only place in the world to have two floating navy vessels that bookend WWII.
Facebook/Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum In addition to the Hoga and USS Razorback, the museum has many exhibits dedicated to other submarines, battleships, and cruisers.
Groups of 10-35 people can experience the USS Razorback in different perspective during the evening.
Facebook/Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum The submarine can be booked for group tours, birthday parties, and (most importantly) sleepovers. Those ages 5 or older can experience the crew quarters during an one-of-a-kind overnight stay.
This isn’t your typical slumber party!
Facebook/Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum The close quarters for the night give insight to what crew’s faced on a daily basis, albeit in a much more entertaining manner. The slumber party includes educational programming for the evening and a continental breakfast the next day. These group sleepovers are $40/person and can be booked right here.
The submarine sleepovers are an incredible addition to an already fascinating tour.
