On the hunt for a new adventure? Fortunately, Missouri promises plenty of outdoor adventures – all year around – especially when it comes to hiking. We can hike along flowing rivers, up picturesque hills, and to breathtaking waterfalls. However, we’ve got so many waterfalls that we’re sure to have missed a few. Set off on this trail that will take you to a beautiful waterfall in Missouri. And, if you’re up for it, you can even camp out for a night or two.
Pack up your hiking gear and slip on your hiking shoes for your adventure along the Coy Bald Trail, a 6.5-mile trail near Bradleyville.

However, before you set off, make sure you’re ready for the trail that’s rated moderate and may be challenging for some hikers.

Along the trail, you’ll have to cross the river twice. But, if you want to camp out, you’ll also find campsites - each with fire rings - on either side of the river.

Much of the trail will lead you through lush wooded areas. And, about three miles from the starting point, you’ll arrive at the gushing waterfall.

In fact, you might hear the sound of the falls - which is more powerful after a recent rainfall - before you see it.

Snap plenty of photos of the waterfall. You might even want to wade in the pool of water into which the waterfall flows.

If you decide to wade, however, be careful of water moccasins, according to those hikers who have traveled the Coy Bald Trail.
