If you haven’t traveled to West Virginia’s Droop Battlefield State Park in a while (or ever), then add this historic park and its astounding overlook to your bucket list this season. With a lookout tower that’s fun for the entire family, trails that follow in the footsteps of Civil War soldiers, and its own cranberry bog, this state park can easily fill a day with engaging activities.
If you don’t have an entire day to spare, then be sure to check out to the overlook tower first.
