Wabasha is a small, historic town in southeastern Minnesota. It was first platted in 1854, making it one of the oldest towns in the state.

The Anderson House Hotel was first built in 1856. It became known for the cats you could “check out” to accompany you during your stay. Sadly, the hotel closed in 2009.

Two years later, the hotel reopened under new ownership, reclaiming its place as Minnesota’s oldest hotel.
