But everything changed for owners Alex Ray when the State of New Hampshire announced the search for folks to renovate of the state welcome centers on both sides of Interstate 93 in Hookset.

Willing to take a chance, he and his business partner submitted a proposal and the rest is history. You can enjoy The Common Man Roadside Restaurant, but it’s the treats that we love most.

Each and every one of the Village Café and Bakery desserts are made fresh every day in their on-site kitchen.

And in 2018 they opened their new market just outside of the main building. Here you can get for fresh donuts throughout the day, as well as cider and coffee.
