Louisianians love a good festival. This time of year, you can expect there to be a festival of some kind happening somewhere in Louisiana, and they’re all worthy of a road trip. While there are several food festivals coming up within the next few months, this charming peach festival might just be the sweetest thing you’ll do this summer.

Louisiana Peach Festival Arts & Crafts Show/Facebook The first Peach Festival was in 1951, making it the longest continuously running agricultural festival in Louisiana, and it will return this summer to celebrate its 69th year. This is one festival that’s fun for the whole family.
The two-day festival is chock full of events and will kick off at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 21st with a kids fishing tournament held at Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston.
Experience Ruston Website The festival ends at 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 22nd with a live performance from the popular band Bag of Donuts at the Railroad Park Stage.
You and your family can enjoy amazing live entertainment, an antique car show, a parade, and some mouthwateringly good food.

The Arts & Crafts section of the festival is incredible. Over 200 artists and vendors come from all over the south to sell their wares.

In the south parking lot outside of the Civic Center, you’ll find more fun finds like clothing, accessories, wreaths, and more. The front yard, more commonly known as “The Trenton Marketplace,” includes a variety of vendors with even more crafts.
There are several events planned that cater to the little ones, too. The peach eating contest is always a big hit!

And, of course, the carnival is always popular with thrill seekers of all ages.
