Do you enjoy waking up hours before the sun makes its first appearance to have your coffee, do some reading, and enjoy the calm and quiet? No? Me neither. While I am by no means a morning person, there is one thing that can get me enthusiastic about waking up early, which is one of our beautiful sunrises. If you feel the same way and want to see the light from a new perspective, you will want to take this unforgettable Colorado sunrise hike:

When it comes to an unforgettable Colorado hike, there is no beating the iconic Garden of the Gods; a 1,335-acre oasis that is home to 300-million-year-old red rock formations!

Established in 1909 and designated a National Natural Landmark in 1971, the Garden of the Gods is an outdoor lover’s paradise and boasts everything from hiking and biking trails to rock climbing and incredible photography opportunities.

Whether you are a novice or an expert hiker, you will find a trail to love at the park, which offers everything from a short and sweet 1/2-mile loop (Ridge Trail) to a butt-busting trail that spans the entire park (the Scotsman/Buckskin Charlie Trail).

Since the park is open all day, you can explore the area at your preferred time and pace; however, we highly recommend visiting around 5 a.m., when the sun casts a vibrant glow across the Garden.

Not only do the rocks and landscapes come to life, but so do the magnificent skies!
