Are you ready to step into a realm of fairy tale creatures and mythical beings for a magical family-oriented festival? The Festival of Legends is returning to Apex and it’s an ideal way to celebrate spring with a world of fun, fantastical, make believe that’s sure to bring smiles and laughter to all.

In just a few short weeks, the Festival of Legends returns for its eighth season and you won’t want to miss the festivities.

In addition to exhibitions featuring jousting and sword and axe throwing, the festival brings two days of sweet fairy tale magic by way of costumes (yours and theirs), performances and more.

Pull out all of the stops and don your best fairy attire for this family-fest. You’ll be meeting a lot of new magical beings and you’ll want to look the part. (of course, a costume isn’t required…) Here, Living statue Zephyrsheena O’Wings greets a fairy tale princess.

An enchanted food court doles out plenty of nourishment, including scoops of ice cream from The Dragon before and after its famous story time…

In all, more than 25 performers and/or performances will be on hand, including fairies of all sorts, a fire breathing dragon, the dragon riders, puss-n-boots, and more!

Activities in the Children’s Glen will mesmerize the kiddos. From Anansi’s Web Maze to a gnome village, castle tents, a fairy music band, storytimes and shows, and more, the little ones will be as thrilled with this enchanting festival as you will.

Each day at 4:00 p.m. there’s a Fairy Tea Party ($20/per child). Space is limited so you’ll want to get that reservation asap! (One adult can attend for free with each paid child’s ticket.)

The 8th Annual Festival of Legends takes place April 13-14, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Optimist Farm in Apex. The address is 2908 Optimist Farm Rd., Apex, NC 27539. At the gate, tickets are: one-day pass $15; two-day pass $20. Purchase online in advance and the prices are: one-day pass $12; two-day pass $15. VIP packages are also available online for $45.
