Lavender farms are lovely and I’m happy to report that New Jersey has several! I believe each one is worth a visit, but today I’m featuring a fan favorite…Orchard View Lavender Farm. It’s free to visit, hosts wonderful events, and is breathtakingly beautiful. There’s a lot to love, so read on for all the details.

They will be open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10 am - 5 pm.

Guests are welcome to pack a picnic, sit in the gazebo or pergola and read a good book, or just come and enjoy the peace and tranquility.

An escape from the hustle and bustle, the property is the perfect place to meditate or do yoga or practice Tai Chi or Qigong.

You can walk the lavender field and cut your own lavender bundles during harvest time. Please call ahead to make sure the lavender is in bloom. (Typically, the first blooms will appear in June.)

In addition to the lavender, you’ll love the events. There are garden rock painting parties, full moon meditations, lavender lunar yoga sessions, and more to enjoy.

If you’d like to take a bit of the beauty home, visit the farm stand. You’ll find aromatherapy jewelry, lavender infused baked goods, satchels and so much more.
