You’re never too old for cotton candy and the Cotton Candy Factory in Belmont (outside of Charlotte) proves it! This fun new store opened nearly two years ago on Main Street and has been spinning fun and sweet cotton candy ever since. We do have some other fun candy stores in North Carolina, but we think this just may be the most colorful and interactive candy experience available in the Tar Heel State…
The store has it all, with decor that looks as tasty as the candy that fills the bins and shelves.

Even the ceiling is part of the gag with faux pipes protruding down into the space. They don’t make chocolate here, but it sure feels a little like being in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory in many ways.

By far, the centerpiece of the store is the magical corner where the cotton candy is made. A huge (faux) pipe drops from the ceiling as if it’s part of the process. Sitting just below is THE cotton candy machine where all the action takes place.
