Geneva, which was incorporated in 1875, is the county seat of Geneva County, Alabama. It has a population of less than 5,000 residents, making it a great place to visit or call home.

One of the city’s most popular places is Robert Fowler Memorial Park, which is best known as “The Junction.” This particular spot is where the Choctawhatchee River and Pea River meets.

Each year, thousands of people visit Robert Fowler Memorial Park because of the special tree that’s tucked away inside it. This tree is known as the Constitution Oak (The Big Oak), and it’s believed to be 200-300 years old.

In addition to it being one of the oldest living trees in Alabama, this historical oak tree is also the largest. It’s also recognized by the Alabama Famous and Historical Tree Program.
