Oklahoma is home to an abundance of beautiful lakes in the state. Some of the cleanest are Broken Bow Lake, Lake Tenkiller, and Lake Murray. They all offer clear water that’s as clean as it gets and it’s so refreshing for a summer dip. One of my favorites – Lake Murray – is not only clean but full of summer activities to keep you busy all day long. Check it out:

It’s located on the shores of Lake Murray in Ardmore and is home to over 12,000 acres of astounding beauty. It’s known for its iconic centerpiece Tucker Tower - a monument and nature center in the state park.

There are many marinas that offer boat and water toy rentals or several loading areas if you bring your own.

Hanging out at the lake is nice but when you have water that is clean and clear, it takes the experience to another level.

Notice how you can see the bottom of the lake here. It’s not very often you find water this clear in the Sooner State, so enjoy it when you can.

Lake Murray State Park is a hidden gem in southern Oklahoma that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. As the largest state park in the state, there is plenty of activities to keep you busy from sunup to sundown.

But what’s so great about it is you can just sit on the shores relaxing, as the clear water keeps you cool on a hot summer day.
