There are many unique things to do in Kentucky, and we love when one-of-a-kind events head our way for even more fun times in the Bluegrass State. Concerts, festivals, and events are a great way to spend time in our state, and if you’re a fan of Harry Potter, you’ll want to add this upcoming gathering to your calendar. The Wizards and Witches Beer Festival, which will feature butterbeer and much more, is coming to Kentucky in March and it will surely bring out the wizard in you.
With the wild popularity of all things Harry Potter, it’s no wonder that many themed events pop up all over the country. Kentucky is no exception, and on March 30th, 2019, the Wizards and Witches Beer Festival is coming to Louisville.

The festival will be held at The Gillespie, a historic event center that was once a bank. It’s the perfect location for a bewitching day of music, drinks, food, and plenty of characters from Hogwarts.

The space will be transformed into scenes from the beloved books, creating a unique atmosphere for hanging out with other Potter fans. Many will arrive dressed as Harry, Ron, Hermione, or one of the many other magical characters.

As we mentioned, drinks will be served, including the festival’s version of butterbeer. This iconic drink does contain alcohol, but there will also be several tastings of other non-alcoholic beverages, as well as food to enjoy.

Tickets for the Wizards and Witches Beer Festival cost $35 and are on sale now. This event is for those ages 21+, so leave the kiddos at home - just don’t tell them you’re going to a magical Harry Potter-themed party!

There will be plenty of photo opportunities during the event, which really goes all-out to make this a fun, festival atmosphere. Live music will be played all evening, as well.

Be sure to run through Platform 9 3/4, cautiously pay a visit to Azkaban, and let the Sorting Hat do its thing… just hope you’re not sorted into Slytherin.
