Spring has sprung, and we’re already beginning to see flowers bloom all over the city. Next time you have a few hours to spare, head on over to these botanical gardens over in City Park for a truly mesmerizing experience.

Tucked away in the heart of City Park, the New Orleans Botanical Garden will dazzle your senses.

Steve N./Trip Advisor Originally established at the City Park Rose Garden in 1936, it was renamed the New Orleans Botanical Garden in the early 1980’s.

The 10-acre park features more than 2,000 varieties of plants from around the world.

The garden features several different themed gardens.

Things are always blooming at different times, making this the perfect year-round attraction.

CheffK/Trip Advisor Right now, visitors can expect to see azaleas, honeysuckle, poppies, petunias, violas, and many more. The Chinese Fringe Tree is also in bloom and is always a beautiful sight. The roses tend to bloom in April, but you may see some early bloomers if you visit now.

The garden also features several sculptures by Enrique Alferez.
