If Misquamicut Beach is the crown jewel of Westerly, then Wilcox Park is the underrated hidden gem of the town. The 14-acre botanical garden is especially beautiful when it comes to life in the spring.

The park along with the Romanesque Westerly Town Library, and 84 buildings and houses surrounding the park, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Wilcox Park Historic District received this designation in 1973.
