However, there’s one festival, in particular, that takes over the streets each summer and requires you to bring a big appetite and an adventurous spirit. Get ready for the most flavorful festival of the year – Taste of Buffalo is only days away!

The annual Taste of Buffalo is the largest two-day food festival in the entire country, and on July 13-14, 2019, the event will celebrate its 36th delicious year.

The festival takes over Niagara Square and the surrounding streets, including Delaware Avenue and even Chippewa Street.

Taste of Buffalo’s line-up of food vendors was recently announced, and there are 10 newcomers to the food festival scene.

If you’ve never been to the Taste of Buffalo food festival, you might be wondering how this all works.

Each restaurant and food truck offers a special menu featuring taster-sized portions.

Taste of Buffalo/Facebook For the 2019 festival, taster plates can be purchased using $1 tickets. The plates vary in price and food tickets will be on sale at the event.

When you need a quick break to digest, there are plenty of non-food related events and activities taking place.

Taste of Buffalo/Facebook Head to the Big Beer Tent on Delaware Avenue for a local craft beer and to enjoy live music played by local bands. The Hometown Beer Tent on Delaware Avenue at West Eagle in Niagara Square will also be serving local beers on tap, offer tastings, and feature live acoustic music. Other exciting tents will be set up throughout the festival. You’ll find the DJ Dance Party Tent on Delaware Avenue at Huron Street and can even sing karaoke at the Mohawk Street Beer Tent!

While the beer tents cater to the adult crowd, Taste of Buffalo is a family-friendly festival.

If you’re interested in watching professional chefs in action, head to the Culinary Stage, which will be set up in the New Era Cap parking lot.

Taste of Buffalo/Facebook This year, Celebrity Chef Shaun O’Neale (Season 7 Champion of the TV show “MasterChef”) will offer cooking demonstrations featuring dishes from his new cookbook and Chef Bert Agor will bring Hawaiian flavors to the table with demonstrations for cooking sweet treats like White Chocolate Macadamia and Coffee Bread Pudding on both Saturday and Sunday.

Local chefs will also have some time in the spotlight! Chef Krista Van Wagner will be demonstrating her mastery of Caribbean cooking on Saturday, and Chef Darian Bryan will show off his Jamaican flavors on Sunday. No matter which demonstrations you choose to attend, you’ll get to sample the finish dishes at the end!
