Wildlife parks are amazing places to visit no matter the time of day, but they’re even more spectacular after dark. Elusive, nocturnal animals you’ve likely never seen in person before will come out to play, approaching the safari vehicle and allowing for a face-to-face encounter. Not to mention the awe-inspiring, amber Texas sunset you’ll be treated to on the way out.

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is an incredible place, featuring over 1,000 animals from more than 50 species - many of which are endangered. A visit here allows you to get up-close-and-personal with these majestic creatures as they lean right into the safari vehicle. A variety of different tours are available, but we’re focusing on the magical sunset adventure.

Illuminated only by spotlights, the route traverses through the habitats of elusive night crawlers. Many of these creatures are sleeping during the day, so you’ve likely never seen them in-person before. Make sure to have food handy for when they approach your vehicle!

No view on earth quite compares to the amber glow of a Texas sunset. Bask in its warmth while observing how the wildlife activity starts changing as dusk approaches. There’s a restless energy difficult to put your finger on, but it evokes a sense that big things are on the horizon.

Once the drive is over, you’ll embark on a moonlight hike. Billions of stars twinkle overhead, and the landscape comes to life with chirping, roaring, cackling, and other sounds that transport participants straight to an exotic African Savannah. It’s a best-of-both-worlds experience, allowing you to take everything in from two different perspectives.
