Warm weather is right around the corner in Vermont and the kids will be itching to head outside on all sorts of adventures. The David Goudy Science Park is a warm weather exhibit at the Montshire Museum of Science in Norwich. The Montshire has over 150 exhibits on its 100-acre grounds. With both indoor and outdoor activities, this family-friendly spot is a welcome diversion and bucket loads of fun!

The water is on at the David Goudy Science Park from early May through mid-October. Engage in the opportunity to wade, splash, and experiment.

The park centers around The Rill, a 250-foot watercourse that wanders from the museum down towards the river.

As the watercourse makes its way down several terraces, you’ll have the chance to interact with the tumbling water.

Maneuver dams and sluices to change the direction or volume of the flow down The Rill.

While you can’t actually swim at the science park, the kids will want their bathing suits on to enjoy the water works.

The Montshire also has lovely hiking trails to explore. Visit the woodland garden or take a stroll along the riverfront.

Head inside the museum and you’ll discover multiple floors of engaging, hands-on exhibits. Check out the aquariums, play with bubbles or air, or spend some time in the Discovery Lab.

With many different kinds of activities and exhibits, the museum is tailor-made for all ages. Visit daily from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. except on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
