While some people tend to disregard winter in Georgia as something to fast forward through, there may be a weird reason to ease up on the gas-pedal this year. For some Southerners, snow brings about intense traffic, headaches, school closures, and impossibilities. However, for those who view this precipitation as something more, a delicious treat can be made.

For many Georgians, the sight of snow can be one immediate pain in the butt.

Snow cream can be made anywhere it snows, however, there was quite the fanbase in the South.

Flickr Kaiee Inglis Country singer Loretta Lynn recalled her mother whipping up snow cream by just going out to the porch and collecting fresh snow, plus adding the other basic ingredients.

The original recipe called for three beaten eggs, freshly fallen snow, vanilla flavoring, and sugar.

You can even ramp it up a bit with some food coloring, or other flavorings such as coconut, lemon, honey, and cocoa.
