Hey, Buffalonians! Don’t let the fact that we live along the shores of one of America’s best lakes distract you from the fact that there are literally thousands of other bodies of water in the Empire State and all around Western New York. As residents of the Queen City, we have plenty of breathtaking bodies of water that are just steps away from our front door. With that said, it’s time to venture outside of our everyday bubble to experience one of the most pristine lakes that you’ll ever lay your eyes upon. If you’re ready for a beautiful day along the waterfront, then set your sights on this crystal clear lake just east of Buffalo.
Hop on I-90 and start heading east of Buffalo; it’s time to spend the day exploring one of the most gorgeous lakes in all of New York.

The small town of Skaneateles sits along the shores of what has become known as “The Roof Garden of the Lakes” - AKA Skaneateles Lake.

Its nickname comes from the fact that Skaneateles Lake sits at the highest altitude out of all the Finger Lakes. There’s truly no other body of water like this one.
