Built back in 1974, Shoseian Whispering Pine Japanese Tea House has been part of SoCal’s cultural fabric for 45 years.

Since that time, it has been designated as a cultural landmark by the Glendale Historical Society. With a newly refurbished exterior and future plans to restore the inside, this Japanese Tea House will be enjoyed for many years to come.

The Japanese Friendship Garden is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Reservations are required to visit the Shoseian Whispering Pine Japanese Tea House. You can contact the customer service line at (818) 548-2184 to make reservations.

In addition to making reservations, you can also visit the tea house on the third Sunday of every month for one of their scheduled events that celebrate Japanese culture.
