Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge is a uniquely beautiful 30,000-acre stretch of land in central Minnesota. The address is 17076 293rd Ave. NW, Zimmerman, MN 55398.

If you’re not up for hiking, the Prairie’s Edge Trail is open to cars. It’s a little over 7 miles, and it offers excellent views of the scenery.

In wintertime, the icy waters and frost-covered trees make the entire refuge look like magic. Any time you visit, it’s sure to be spectacular.

There are also more than 200 bird species who make homes in or visit the wildlife refuge every year. Bring binoculars to spot everything from trumpeter swans to bald eagles!
