As the temperatures rise here in Mississippi, finding a place to cool off is a must. Lucky for you, we found the perfect spot – and it’s Sardis Lake. Not only is it huge (nearly 100,000 acres), but it has some of the clearest water in the state. The best part is that it’s part of a recreation area, so there are plenty of other amenities nearby. Take a look:

If you want plenty of room to splash around, Sardis Lake is the place for you. The enormous lake spans 98,520 acres and is spread out over three counties (Lafayette, Panola, and Marshall).

Part of a recreation area, Sardis Lake is easy to access and offers a variety of amenities. In addition to numerous beaches, there are day-use areas with picnic tables and grills, so you can easily spend all day at the lake.

An affordable way to spend the day, the day-use areas can be accessed for just $5 per vehicle. And remember, there are no fees for kids under 16.

But the lake is much more than affordable – it’s beautiful! The crystal clear waters are perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day.

Between the pristine waters and the lush white sand, it’s like a tropical paradise.

And since the lake is so big, there’s plenty of room to spread out, which means you could find a secluded spot to have all to yourself.

With so much to offer, the only problem with Sardis Lake is that you’ll never want to leave!

Luckily, the recreation area has both RV and primitive camp sites, so you can turn your day out on the water into a lakeside getaway.
