The incredible drive is just 7.5 miles in length, but visitors are encouraged to stop along the way at designated parking areas and spur trails which offer panoramic views of the famous red rock composition.

The rocks get their famous red color from the iron oxide deposits. The red color contrasts dramatically with the sky to create an almost otherworldly landscape.
