We love a story about a family business that’s endured over the years, and we also love a great hot dog. These two things come together perfectly with Puppy Love – a roadside hot dog stand that got its start 43 years ago, and is still going strong. Oh, and the hot dogs are to die for!
In 1976, Pete and Jo Goodwin bought a little pushcart and started Puppy Love Hot Dogs.
Puppy Love Hot Dogs/Facebook In 1978, they created a bigger setup in the back of a pickup truck, and moved to Main Street in Concord. The Goodwin’s daughter, Gretchen Peters, took the business over in 2005 so her parents could retire.
Eventually, Puppy Love got its own storefront so it could serve delicious hot dogs year-round. The shop makes it possible to great hot dogs year-round!
