Take a one-mile hike to the Sandy Point Lighthouse. This lighthouse is the oldest in Rhode Island and one of the few remaining in the U.S. that has its original birdcage lantern.

Another historic spot to visit is the charming one-room schoolhouse that was constructed in 1896. This schoolhouse has been used almost continuously since and provides education for the elementary age island children.
