Animals lovers already know that Missouri is a tiny piece of paradise. After all, we can view wild horses, elk and other majestic animals in their natural habitats. We can visit zoos, animals sanctuaries, and wildlife parks. And, we can plan a day in a state park, like Prairie State Park, where a wild bison herd roams along some of the nearly 4,000 acres of woodlands and grasslands.

Marvel at the pure natural beauty - including the wild bison herd - at Prairie State Park in Mindenmines.

Consider starting your visit to the park at the Regal Tallgrass Prairie Nature Center, where you can learn more about the seasons on the prairie and the bison through interactive exhibits.
