The undderated park itself spans 500 acres, which is smaller than many of our parks, but large enough to accommodate plenty of campers and people relaxing away from city noise.

The park was built and established by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.

Campers can bring tents, but an even better way to enjoy the park is while staying at their new cabins, with full kitchens, refrigerator, and all the peace and quiet you need.

Besides camping, one of the best ways to enjoy the scenery is from the water, especially if you’re also listening to the soft swooshing of your paddles on the surface.
