What makes the Firefly Forest special are these miniature doors installed into the bases of trees, making it appear to be a home for tiny people like fairies or gnomes.

This forest became the home of imaginary fairies and gnomes when a mystery crafter started installing the doors. People started leaving notes for the miniature inhabitants, and the film follows three women who found a new outlook on life thanks to this magical addition to something as simple as fairy doors.

The overarching message of the film is that troubles can seem hard, but they can pass the time with a smile if they only embrace the magic around them. Though we think Kansas is a perfect place for something like this, there is truly magic in nature everywhere.
