Here in Buffalo, we’re lucky to live close to all sorts of exciting places that offer a peek into the ancient past. We’ve previously featured the fossil digging site at Penn Dixie Fossil Park, but today, we’re visiting one of our favorite attractions within city limits to check out a special exhibit on display this summer that will transport you way back to the prehistoric era. The whole family will love having a dinosaur-filled day right here in Buffalo! Check it out:
The Buffalo Zoo in Delaware Park delights visitors all year long - in fact, nearly half a million people visit annually!
bezmiar W.S./Google Since its founding all the way back in 1875, it has been known as a prime spot to see exotic animals.
Though we love all of the cool creatures at The Buffalo Zoo, there will be more than just tigers and polar bears to discover at the zoo this summer.

A total of 11 dinosaurs are currently calling The Buffalo Zoo home, too! This exiting exhibit opened up in May and has since become the talk of the town.
The Buffalo Zoo/Facebook The OMG! Dinosaurs exhibit will only stick around for the summer though, so the dinosaurs will move on after Labor Day 2019. Make sure to stop by and see them while you can!
The dinosaurs can be found scattered throughout the zoo grounds.

You might even spot some of the zoo’s other residents visiting them, too!

Though not a part of the OMG! Dinosaurs exhibit, there’s another new addition to The Buffalo Zoo that you’ll want to say hello to. Tashi, an Indiana rhinoceros, recently gave birth to a cute little baby named Mohan!
The Buffalo Zoo/Facebook The earliest ancestors of rhinoceros’ appeared around 50 million years, and Indian rhinos emerged about 10 million years ago, so even though they didn’t live during the same era as dinosaurs (Tyrannosaurus’ walked the earth between 68 to 66 million years ago), they’ve still been around for quite some time!
If you’ve yet to see the OMG! Dinosaurs exhibit at The Buffalo Zoo, be sure to pay this place a visit before Labor Day.
