While we obviously go to restaurants for the food, if you’ve ever dined at a place with an amazing view, you know that it enhances the entire experience (and seems to make the meal taste even better). Washington is no short of restaurants with breathtaking views, and for that, we are thankful… but one of our newest restaurants, Mountaineering Club, just might have the best views in the state.

Mountaineering Club is located on the 16th floor of the Graduate Seattle, a new hotel in Seattle’s University District.

Mountaineering Club Facebook The Graduate is new (it opened in late 2018), but it’s decked out in 1930s Art Deco design.

Mountaineering Club opened in March, with a very Pacific Northwest-friendly theme.

Mountaineering Club Facebook The decor is rugged but refined, with vintage sofas, plaid fabrics, and outdoor adventure books.

But as pleasant as the indoor space is, it’s the outdoor seating that makes this place amazing.

Mountaineering Club Facebook This is where you’ll see panoramic views of the city.

The views here are absolutely magical, and it’s not just the city skyline you’ll see.

Mountaineering Club Facebook On a clear day, you can see Mt. Rainier, the Puget Sound, and the surrounding lakes.

In true Washington fashion, the menu has plenty of seafood.

Mountaineering Club Facebook Aside from fresh oysters, the clam chowder and peel & eat shrimp are fantastic.

Prefer food that was grown on land? Mountaineering Club serves plenty of that, too.

Mountaineering Club Facebook And as you can see, Washington-made products reign supreme here.

The cocktail list is also Northwest-inspired, and you’ll definitely want to drink them outdoors.
