You don’t have to be the next Bear Grylls to enjoy the splendors of the Natural State. Adventures for the skilled outdoor adventurer certainly do exist, after all we have covered some beautiful bushwhacks and worth-the-effort trails. However, plenty of family friendly trails for the more casual hiker can easily be found in the state as well. Today’s trail is a bit short from being the state’s longest paved trail (which is the 88-mile River Trail around Little Rock) but it is perfect for a day of enjoying nature in an accessible setting. Let’s pack up the family and stroll around the gorgeous Lake Atalanta.
One of our favorite paved trails in the state is around Lake Atalanta.
Google/Geovanni Padlla While most other paved trails typically stop right under a mile, the trail around this lake is well over four miles. The park is located at 500 E Walnut St., Rogers, AR 72758.
Before your family hits the trail, be sure to stop by the playground.

The actual lake isn’t very large, but it is gorgeous year round.
AllTrails/Carol Ann Carson Lake Atalanta is about 30 acres of fish-filled water. It’s a great spot for paddle boats or trout fishing.
Stroller babies, kids, dogs, and everyone else will love this easy but gorgeous trail.
