Do you remember how magical parks and amusement parks were when we were children? Everything looked huge, and it didn’t matter that the rides were for kids only, because we liked it best that way. This little adventure park hiding out in small town Kansas has been there for decades, and we hope they never change. Come see for yourself!
Welcome to Kiddieland, a teensy amusement park in Pittsburg, Kansas that’s been here since any of us can remember.

This mini park has been opening for kiddies from near and far for over 60 years, and many Kansans and Missourians across the border have photos of themselves riding here at the park when they were kids.

However, much of it has changed ever so slightly, with a few new seats and a new paint job for many of the moving parts. Kiddieland needed a facelift, and thanks to local members of the community, they have recently renovated a few things here and there to keep everyone coming back for more.

Many of the rides are just mini versions of larger rides you’ve seen and the county and state fair for years, so they’re a bit safer for your kiddo to ride as well. Plus, each operator is stern on safety, so if you don’t like the look of one of the rides, you can enjoy what else the park has to offer. I’ve heard there’s even a swimming pool nearby.

Though most of the rides are for little kids only, there is a miniature train that parents or grandparents can ride along with the kids. It’s got a fresh coat of paint that’ll make it sparkle like the joy in the kids’ eyes.

Tickets to the rides are still $1 apiece, but you can also just buy a card that lets you ride to your heart’s content. As long as you wait your turn, that is.
