This may not be a popular opinion, but we wholeheartedly believe that Thanksgiving is the best holiday of the year. It’s right at the end of fall, which means winter and snow and all the fun things that go along with that are on their way. It also means some of the best food on our tables. Cranberries, stuffing, potatoes, pies and turkey! The only bad part of Thanksgiving is that you’ve got to wait all year to enjoy it. That’s why this farm in Maine is so appealing. It offers an opportunity to eat like it’s Thanksgiving no matter that time of year we’re in!

Harris Turkey Farm in West Newfield started out as just an experiment in raising a few turkeys. But, after experiencing the flavor of a locally raised turkey it was clear that this was a calling.

While we’re waiting for Thanksgiving to arrive, at least we have summer dining outdoors! Check out this restaurant located right on a pond. It’s as if it has its very own lagoon!
