A recently-released study by McAfee unveils a startling statistic: 1 in 5 Americans have been –or have nearly been – scammed while attempting to book their summer vacation plans. Moreover, nearly 30% of the 1,000 people who were polled reported losing between $1,000 – $3,000 as a result. The study found that the destinations that were the riskiest - i.e. targeted most by hackers - included Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, Amsterdam, Venice, and Canmore, Canada.
