Located in the heart of Cajun Country, Rayne is a quirky little city with a lot to brag about. Known as the “Frog Capital of the World” and the “Louisiana City of Murals,” Rayne used to be a major exporter of frogs to restaurants all over the country.

While they’re not in the frog business anymore, they are still proud of their history and celebrate it every year with the annual Rayne Frog Festival.

This year, the festival takes place May 8-11, and you won’t want to miss it. This family-friendly festival has it all: good food, cold drinks, kid-friendly attractions, carnival rides, and so much more.

The whole city gets involved in this festival! Local businesses decorate their storefronts and compete for first place in the “Paint the Town Green” competition. Winners will be announced Thursday, May 9th at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage.
